The signs of Spring are slowly showing up across the Upper Midwest.  One of those is actually happening down in Florida.  We have both areas covered this week, with Larry holding down the fort in Downtown Minneapolis and Eric on the road in Fort Myers, FL.  They look into the last days of Grapefruit League action for the Twins, and even get some insight from bullpen coach Eddie Guardado.  Plus, an expensive surgery for the Vikes, Tom Brady’s Super Bowl jersey surfaces, Lavar Ball keeps talking, and we hear an interview between two well-known names to Twin Cities sports fans.

Twins Look for a Citrus Boost

Segment 1: The days are counting down to Opening Day of the 2017 MLB season.  As the Twins get ready to kick off the 162-game marathon, they’re fine tuning their roster during the close of the Grapefruit League.  We have an up-close look at the team, as well as what they need to do to improve from last season.

All Eyes on the Ankle

Segment 2: The Vikings appeared as though they steadied their running back quandary after signing free agent Latavius Murray.  However, are the good feelings stunted by the fact that Murray will have to undergo ankle surgery?  The fellas discuss this development.

AP’s Journey & A Jersey Comes Home

Segment 3: Adrian Peterson is still out on the free agent market.  Will he find a home for next season?  The guys look into the favored candidates to land the former NFL MVP.  Then, our long, national nightmare is over.  Tom Brady’s Super Bowl jersey has been found.  Whom gets a bad name during this happy ending.

Is Lavar Having a Ball at His Kids’ Expense?

Segment 4: If you’ve followed sports lately, you can’t help but have noticed Lavar Ball.  The father of UCLA freshman star Lonzo Ball has been talking quite a bit lately.  Is he putting undue pressure on his hoop star sons, though?  Eric and Larry chat about the role of a sports parent.

Call to the Pen: Everyday Eddie Guardado Joins GDG

Segment 5: Some of the questions involving the Minnesota Twins focus on the shape of the bullpen.  Former Twins closer and current bullpen coach Eddie Guardado joins the show to discuss how the pen is rounding into shape.  Plus, how important was it for the U.S. team to win the World Baseball Classic?

Legendary Chat & Two Different Outcomes

Segment 6: Earlier this week, Larry Fitzgerald, Jr. sat down to talk with one of his childhood idols.  We hear a snippet from his interview with Kevin Garnett during the weekly “Area 21” broadcast on TNT.  After that, our hosts discuss how the Wild and Timberwolves are going in the same direction with opposing results.
