@GamedayGold

During this Thanksgiving weekend, we’ll bring some facets of life to the forefront: family, food, shopping, and sports.  Eric and Larry have you covered when it comes to the athletics part.  They broadcast from the Downtown Minneapolis studio, ready to serve a feast of Twin Cities sports to you.  The Vikings make Turkey Day a happy one.  We get a recap of their win in Detroit on Thursday.  Gopher football looks to snap out of their late-season swoon and score a big upset, a rivalry trophy, and a bowl bid in one afternoon.  Gopher basketball gets off to an impressive start.  And the Timberwolves and Wild try to stay alfoat early in the season.

Vikings Give Thanks for a Win in Detroit
Segment 1: The Vikings get their turkey and a win to boot.  The guys look into that victory in Detroit.  And will this current seven-game winning streak lead to future history?  A proclamation from one of our hosts could make it interesting.

Little Roar Left for Lions
Segment 2: The fellas dig deeper into the Thanksgiving Day tilt between Minnesota and Detroit.  How big of a hole have the Lions dug for themselves in their playoff spot chase?  And how huge has wide receiver Adam Thielen become for the Purple?

Murray is Present; Who Wants Beef for Thanksgiving?
Segment 3: Latavius Murray was brought to the Twin Cities to be a difference maker for the Vikings.  After ankle surgery and a slow start, the tailback is coming on.  Our hosts describe his emerging role in the offense.  Then, which Turkey Day beef is more juicy…Jerry Jones versus Roger Goodell, or Lavar Ball versus President Donald Trump?

Opposite Directions, but Equal Import for the Axe
Segment 4: This year’s Battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe has a lot riding on it.  Wisconsin rolls into Minneapolis at 11-0 and in the running for a national semifinal spot.  Minnesota is still searching for that win to make them bowl eligible.  Eric and Larry discuss the importance of this game on both sidelines.  And did P.J. Fleck deserve a contract extension after a 5-6 start to his Gopher coaching career?

Gopher Hoops Racking Up the W’s
Segment 5: What do the guys look for in a Thanksgiving meal?  They bring up some favorites.  After that, Gopher basketball is making the preseason hype look good.  We hear about the successful start to the season, along with whether the One-and-Done rule needs to be tweaked across college hoops and the NBA.

Winter Pro Sports in MN Going Cold
Segment 6: The Timberwolves are struggling lately.  What’s going wrong in their recent losses (and a win or two)?  The guys give their explanations.  Plus, the Wild are trying to dig out of the early-season pit they made.  How’s that going?
